[Regis has tried to give Ardyn as much space as he wants since his arrival, but in many ways the man in a self-fulfilling prophecy. Granted, Regis can't really blame him for not wanting to fight anything after all he's been through, but the redhead is also doing his best to make himself different from others. If he wants to be left alone, the best way to do that is to blend into the crowd. Honestly, those lab clothes need to go. Besides, they have to be reminding Ardyn of his time stuck in Verstael's lab. That is the last thing he needs right now.
Of course, taking the redhead to a store to pick out new clothes might not have been the best way to fix that. Does he have any idea what he would like? It's not like Regis has any idea. It's why he wanted Ardyn to come.
Well, whatever he picks can't be worse than what he has now, right?
Regis takes a deep breath and gives Ardyn a smile.]
Where would you like to start?

I am loathe to be the bearer of bad news, but I feel an encounter I had this afternoon merits a warning nonetheless. An opportunity for a reunion with presumably your least favorite relative now exists in the city.
[If he doesn't say 'your brother is here,' so directly, hopefully it will soften the blow a bit?]

[ Cold enough to see her breath form into a puffy, transient cloud, sparsely illuminated by the dim glow the street lamps, Pyra sits upon one of the benches. She holds a plush blanket in her arms. She won’t be needing it, but if the young man she’s invited to join her does, she has no issue gifting it to him. If he doesn’t, well, they can simply sit upon it for comfort.
Having chosen this spot for its more modest light (as much as one can find in a city), she turns her gaze upwards towards the sky. Knowing that a thick, unwavering storm rages beyond the barrier, she wonders if what she sees above is an illusion of what this world’s night sky used to look like before its demise... Before her thoughts can wander further, she hears someone approach from the shadows. It’s but a few moments after that she recognizes the man who steps forth from the shadows. ]
Oh! [ Smiling at him welcomingly, she stands to walk to him, meeting him half-way. ] You’re here. [ Eyes glimmering with soft excitement, she gestures over to the bench. ]
Are you ready...? [ This is spoken as if they are standing in line for a thrilling amusement park ride... when it’s actually just quiet and calm star-gazing. ]

[ It is long past dusk but still not late enough to be considered early. Hades is still busy with his papercraft at a temple, and Era is restless.
She sends no message, just map coordinates along with a picture of Carbuncle glowing a soft crimson against the backdrop of the night sky. A sunless sea, but not the one she returned to the First. Not the one her family sees when they look up toward the heavens. ]

[Ring ring, have a call.]
Hey. Um... I just wanted to thank you. For everything, pretty much.
[He's been miserable and dour this entire time, and Ardyn's put up with so much since that day everything fell apart. He's finally sensible enough to realize it.]

[The rush of shadows is there and gone in the blink of an eye but it is so agonizingly familiar that Cor's blade is in hand before he realizes what he's doing. The black miasma, the trailing darkness. Daemons.
There are no daemons in Havenwell and certainly not in the temple. But that's not entirely true is it?
Pieces click into place. Ardyn, the black spill of inky wisps. Noctis, knowing more, maybe knowing it all. Of course having Ardyn near would be painful for him, terrifying even. Of course Ardyn would be hurt by that rejection.
He was an idiot. He should have thought of it earlier, should have warned Ardyn, maybe even told him it would be better for him not to be there. But he didn't and now he had to deal with the consequences. It's only a pause of a few seconds but it's entirely possible that's enough to lose the redhead.
Cor curses under his breath, pulls kikuichimonji from the armiger and warps after Ardyn, praying that, if he can get a high enough vantage point he'll be able to see where he's gone.]

[At first, Ignis was content to just pretend nothing had happened at all and leave things between him and Noctis. It was... Well. Perhaps not unimportant, but it wasn't pressing. It wasn't a matter of life and death. It was just the unfortunate reality that Ignis has more feelings than he wants to let on.
But, at the end of the day, Ignis is still young and uncertain despite how capable and intelligent he is, and he'd kind of appreciate some sort of... Advice. Or at least some amount of understanding. Somehow, Ardyn has become a person Ignis trusts, and so it's a quiet moment in their home when he approaches.]
Ardyn. Could I speak with you for a moment?

the last few shots are clearly taken from up in a tree, because it seemed like a good idea at the time ok!

Ardyn-san,
Hello Ardyn-san, I hope you're doing well today.
I want to apologize for how I was acting a month before, I wasn't thinking straight.
But, I still would like to invite you over for meals.
Would like to join me for lunch today, Ardyn-san?
