I don't remember the exact verse, mostly because it was stupid and something like ten lines long. But the idea is very simple; the Chosen King of Light is meant to gather the power of his forebears and their weapons, forge covenants with the gods, and dispel eternal darkness from the world at the cost of his own life.
[More concerning to House Earth Danmei: Wei Ying is now completely silent.
As the sheer gravity of what Noct had to deal with in his past life really started setting in. How it connects to the ring. How it most likely connects to the weapons which he will have confirmed as soon as he collects himself.
It's righteous anger for his stupid ass friend fueling him. After a delay:]
The weapons he has in his hammerspace are the weapons he was supposed to collect to dispel that darkness aren't they? Are they another factor in why the lifespans of the line of Lucis so short?
[Why did Wei Wuxian have to be right when he didn't want to be?]
All of this is news to me. Of course he kept it to himself.
Can you share anything else about this whole thing? Think of it as more ammo against Noct.
[Those two have a weird relationship but information gathering is as much about bartering and Ardyn is encouraging this endeavor of white boy beat down.]
I'm afraid I know less about the royal arms specifically, and that is all I can really say I know directly of the ring. The prophecy, however, I can elaborate a little further.
Our past lives' home world was governed by a hexatheon, and at its peak was the Draconian, Bahamut. He orchestrated it all from the very founding of the kingdom, through all hundred-something generations straight to Noctis. The darkness from which the world needed delivering--well, I honestly do not know where it originated from, but the form it took was his responsibility as well.
[This Bahamut better think twice before showing his face in this world ever, if that's the case. If many a king from the line of Lucis has suffered from Bahamut's plotting that's a great way to piss Wei Wuxian off.]
So it's a route Bahamut crafted from the very start. Sounds arrogant to me.
[But he's still mad at (and for) Noct now, so.]
I think I have enough to throw in his face right now. Thanks for that. (◕‿◕)

That did explain why it shouldn't be worn by others, it was a matter of bloodline. But the matter of bloodline was the problem as well.]
So, it's a rapid path for people in the line of Lucis who hold the ring to becoming one of those many souls within it.
